1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, joining a Space, or otherwise using Kynspace, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kynspace.

2. What Kynspace is

Kynspace is a household coordination app. Members of a shared "Space" (for example, a couple, a set of roommates, or a family) chat naturally, and an AI layer reads that conversation to surface commitments, decisions, lists, and ideas. 3. Accounts and eligibility

You need an account to use Kynspace, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.

4. Spaces, AI extraction, and pricing

Creating and joining Spaces is always free and unlimited, on every plan. There's no limit on how many Spaces you can be in, and Space membership itself never costs anything.

What's priced is AI extraction: the processing that reads a Space's conversation and turns it into commitments, decisions, lists, and ideas. Every Space starts with 30 AI extractions a month. You can remove that cap, one Space at a time, or for all of your Spaces at once:

There are no feature differences between a Space at the free AI-extraction amount and an upgraded Space. Upgrading only removes the monthly AI-extraction cap on the Spaces it covers; everything else about Kynspace works the same either way. Nothing here is a trial; the free amount does not expire on its own.

5. How payment and Space upgrades interact

Each upgraded Space, or an all-Spaces-unlimited plan, is tied to one paying member. Every member of an upgraded Space gets its unlimited AI extraction, not just the person paying for it. What happens when that paying member leaves a Space, or cancels their plan, depends on which kind of upgrade is involved:

Individually upgraded Space, payer leaves

If a member who personally upgraded a single Space leaves that Space, they're asked to choose: cancel that Space's upgrade, or keep paying for it even after leaving. Another member of the Space can take over as the paying member at any time to keep the upgrade active. If nobody takes over and the upgrade is cancelled, the Space reverts to the free tier's AI-extraction cap at the end of the current billing period.

All-Spaces-unlimited plan, payer leaves one Space

If a member on the all-Spaces-unlimited plan leaves a single Space, without cancelling their overall plan, that Space immediately reverts to the capped AI-extraction amount. The all-Spaces plan follows the person, not the Space, so leaving removes that Space's coverage right away. There's no confirmation prompt in this case, since the member is only leaving one Space, not losing their whole plan.

All-Spaces-unlimited plan, payer cancels or downgrades

Before a cancellation or downgrade of an all-Spaces-unlimited plan takes effect, the member is shown a warning listing every Space that will lose unlimited AI extraction as a result. They must confirm after seeing that list before the change goes through.

6. Billing, cancellation, and refunds

Upgrades are billed on a recurring basis, weekly, monthly, or yearly depending on what you choose, through RevenueCat and the app store you subscribed through (Apple App Store or Google Play). They renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled first.

You can cancel any upgrade at any time through your app store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the upgrade until the end of the period you already paid for. Pricing may change; if it does, we will give you notice before a price change applies to your subscription.

7. Space roles and admin permissions

Members of a Space have one of two roles: admin or member. In the app, admins are visually indicated by a yellow circle with a star. Admins have additional permissions over the Space, such as managing membership and Space settings, that regular members do not have.

8. Acceptable use

Spaces are shared with other people, and you agree not to use Kynspace to:

Post or share illegal content; harass, threaten, or abuse another person, including other members of your Space; impersonate another person; upload malware or attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the service; or use the service in a way that violates the rights of others, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this section, as described in Section 10.

9. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you send in Kynspace (messages, images, and anything else you contribute to a Space). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content as needed to operate Kynspace, including processing it with AI to generate commitments, decisions, lists, and ideas as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

AI-extracted records (commitments, decisions, lists, and ideas) are generated automatically and may not always be accurate. They are a convenience, not a guarantee of correctness, and members of a Space are responsible for confirming anything important themselves.

10. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to a Space if you violate these terms, including the acceptable use rules in Section 8, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to Kynspace, its users, or others. Where practical, we will give notice before taking this action.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

Kynspace is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service, including AI extraction, will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kynspace and its officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Kynspace changes. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the app or by email before it takes effect. Continued use of Kynspace after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
